Time for the monthly report, if we can call it that.

So well, what has been going on as of late? Seems that the last road trip took on my desktop PC its last toll, and it went down on an almost full breakdown. I managed to save the few remaining files I had on it right before the hard drive ceased to work at all, and my cousin decided to buy from me the components that can still be salvaged. That, coupled with the current situation at the university (the halt still continues, and it seems it’ll keep on until January), as well as the economic factor drove me into a very important decision:

In the worst case scenario, I won’t be able to afford my stay at the residence in Barquisimeto much longer, if the prices of everything continue to rise at the rate they go. So, at least for the time being, I’ve decided that, once I end the current term, I’ll come back home to Boconó and transfer to the local Tech Institute. If I make an “equivalence” I’ll be able to get a lesser title (Senior Technician as opposed to Engineer) in a short time. In the meantime, my aunt Aura decided to lend me a spare CPU she has so I can use it as a workspace until I can come back home (which is, as I said, until the end of the term). That should at least help me get a stable job, and when I manage to get back on track (if possible, having my own place over there), I’ll resume the Engineering career. Considering the current situation, that’s the most logical choice, if I want to put to use what I’ve learned and start working to make an income.

On the bright side, I’ve returned to write stories, and many of you already know that I’m currently I’m working on a collab fic with Which reminds me, I’m gonna start working on the designs of the characters we’re using in it (post-prologue). It’s a great way to cheer myself up, considering all the things that have happened.

Last but not least, my friend is making point commissions for Christmas, and I agreed to give her some advertisement. More info over here: jusace.deviantart.com/journal/…

Hora del reporte mensual, si lo podemos llamar así.

Y bien, ¿qué ha pasado últimamente? Parece ser que el último viaje por carretera le dio a mi PC de escritorio su última factura, y se vino abajo casi por completo. Conseguí sacarle los últimos archivos importantes que quedaban en ella antes que el disco duro terminara de morirse, y mi primo decidió comprarme los componentes que aún se pueden salvar. Eso, aparte de la actual situación de la universidad (el paro continúa, y por lo que se ve seguirá hasta Enero), además del factor económico me llevó a tomar una importante decisión:

En el peor escenario, no podré seguir pagando mi residencia en Barquisimeto mucho más, si los precios de todo siguen subiendo al ritmo que van. Así que, al menos por el momento, decidí que, cuando termine el semestre actual, regresaré a Boconó para transferirme al Instituto Tecnológico local. Si hago una “equivalencia” podré conseguir un título menor (Técnico Superior en lugar de Ingeniero) en poco tiempo. Con eso al menos podré conseguir un trabajo estable, y cuando logre estar de vuelta en el camino (si es posible, con mi propio lugar por allá), retomaré la carrera de Ingeniería. Mientras tanto, mi tía Aura ofreció prestarme un CPU que tiene para que lo utilice como espacio de trabajo hasta que pueda regresar (es decir al terminar el período). Considerando la situación actual, es la elección más lógica, si quiero poner a uso lo que he aprendido para empezar a trabajar y tener mi propia entrada.

Viendo el lado amable, he vuelto a escribir mis historias, y algunos ya sabrán que actualmente estoy haciendo un fic en colaboración con Lo que me recuerda, tengo que trabajar en el diseño de los personajes que estamos usando en él (post-prólogo). Es una excelente forma de levantarme los ánimos, considerando todo lo que ha sucedido.

Por último, pero no menos importante, mi amiga tiene promoción de comisiones por puntos para Navidad, y decidí ayudarle con algo de publicidad. Más información por aquí: jusace.deviantart.com/journal/…
